All India Counsel for Technical Education and the Government of Tamil Nadu has issued very strict instructions regarding Ragging. Any student found or reported to have indulged in or encouraged Ragging will be dismissed from the College and legal steps will be taken as per the Tamil Nadu Government Gazette Extraordinary, Act NO. 7 of 1997 . The Ragging incident will also be reported to the Director of Technical Education, Chennai for further action. Hence, the Transfer Certificate Issued by the Institution will have a specific entry apart from that of general conduct and behavior whether a student has participated in and in particular been punished for "Ragging", as per the directive of the Honourable Supreme Court wide order dated 4/5/2001.
In addition to the above, as per the orders of the Honorable Supreme court of India, “if any incident of Ragging comes to the notice of the Authority, the concerned student shall be given liberty to explain and if his explanation is not found satisfactory, the Authority would expel him from the Institution”. Therefore the students are hereby instructed not to indulge in Ragging in any form either inside or outside the Campus. The parents are requested to advice their ward accordingly.The co-operation of all the parents and compliance from students is solicited in this matter.
